How to Train Your Damselfly

The trails at Nichols Arboretum were spilling with damselflies yesterday. The one pictured above is possibly a Variable Dancer (Argia fumipennis) with the late sun reflected in its compound eyes. It reminded me of a tiny, trusty steed waiting for its rider… What it would be like to ride on one we can only imagine. 🙂

Keep your eyes open and your hearts focused on the little things, because all too often (but not always) it’s the little things that make up the big things!
