Tawny Daylily

Observed on today’s walk:

The Tawny Daylily (Hemerocallis fulva) is a popular ornamental plant in the United States which was imported from Asia in the 1800s. Their ability to grow in a range of conditions as well as their aggressive growing habits incline some to consider them invasive. Several colonies can be found around downtown Ann Arbor, where they are currently in bloom.
